Sr. Perfumer

–     Cost Reduction: Reformulate approved fragrances to reduce raw material cost while maintaining perceptible olfactive parity

–     Note Twisting: Modify the character or direction of an existing formula to serve a new brief, market, or positioning without starting from scratch

–     Performance Enhancement: Improve longevity, sillage, bloom, or substrate compatibility based on client feedback or performance testing outcomes

Regulatory and Compliance

•      Ensure all formulations comply with IFRA guidelines for the relevant application category and usage level

•      Maintain working knowledge of REACH regulations for export-bound products

•      Proactively flag and substitute restricted or prohibited materials during formulation — not post-submission

Client Interaction and Business Development

•      Attend client briefing sessions, present fragrance submissions, and articulate olfactive rationale clearly

•      Support the commercial team in pitches, evaluations, and new client acquisition presentations

•      Build and sustain relationships with key client contacts — client-facing engagement is a core part of this role, not an occasional requirement

Market Intelligence and Consumer Taste

•      Demonstrate deep, current knowledge of Indian consumer olfactive preferences across relevant application categories

•      Travel to domestic and international markets for sensory surveys, retail audits, and consumer preference mapping when directed

•      Translate field intelligence into actionable olfactive direction for new product development

Team Leadership

•      Manage and mentor 1 to 3 junior perfumers and evaluators within the lab

•      Conduct structured evaluation sessions and build the olfactive vocabulary of junior team members
